Maruti e Vitara waiting period details
Waiting period for all eVitara variants is the same
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is offered in three variants: Delta, Zeta and Alpha and Our dealership sources have revealed that there is a standard waiting period of 6 to 8 weeks (about 1.5 to 2 months) on all e Vitara variants. Our sources also mentioned that customers are preferring the entry-spec Delta more than the Zeta or Alpha options.
Notably, the Delta trim is offered with a 49kWh battery pack mated with a front-axle-mounted electric motor that produces 144hp and 193Nm. The mid-spec Zeta and top-spec Alpha variants are offered with a bigger 61kWh battery pack paired with a 174hp/198Nm electric motor. The ARAI-claimed range for both battery packs is 440km and 543km, respectively.
Waiting period is more for some e Vitara colours
The e Vitara is available in 6 monotone colour options: Arctic White, Bluish Black, Grandeur Grey, Land Breeze, Opulent Red and Splendid Silver. Among these, the Opulent Red and Bluish Black colours have a higher waiting period of up to 2 months (up to 8 weeks), while the other hues will make you wait for about 1.5 months (up to 6 weeks). Notably, all colours, except the Nexa Blue and Bluish Black, can be had with a dual-tone roof.
Not only is the e Vitara Maruti Suzuki’s first EV, but it also introduces a battery-as-a-service (BaaS) scheme for the manufacturer. With this scheme, the battery is offered at a subscription cost of Rs 3.99-4.39 per km (depending on the battery pack), which substantially reduces the upfront cost of the EV. While a specific percentage split has not been revealed, the dealer sources stated that people have shown interest in the BaaS scheme, mainly for its lower down payment compared to what customers are required to pay when buying the car with the battery pack.
Price range of the Maruti e Vitara, if purchased with the battery pack, ranges between Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 20.01 lakh, while the battery subscription plan reduces the upfront cost to range between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 14.51 lakh, exclusive of the per km battery subscription fee. The e Vitara locks horns with the MG Windsor EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, VinFast VF6, MG ZS EV and Tata Curvv EV.
