O’Romeo continues its theatrical run with a steady but visible weekday drop. The Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri-starrer, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, collected approximately Rs. 3.65 crore on Day 6 (Wednesday), taking its total domestic box office collection to Rs. 44.22 crore, according to early trade estimates.

Expected slowdown post-strong opening weekend

After a robust opening weekend driven by Valentine’s Day holiday advantage and strong initial buzz, the film has entered its natural midweek slowdown. While Monday and Tuesday showed moderate holds, Wednesday recorded a sharper dip, which aligns with standard box office patterns for urban-centric romantic dramas.

It can also be noted that O’Romeo’s first-week performance remains healthy, particularly given its genre positioning and niche audience appeal. The film benefited from strong multiplex footfalls in metro centres, though mass belts have shown relatively subdued traction.

With the first week nearing its end, the Thursday figures and second-weekend trend will be crucial in determining whether O Romeo can comfortably breach the Rs. 50 crore milestone. Sustained word-of-mouth and minimal new releases could help the film stabilise over the coming weekend.

For now, the Shahid Kapoor-starrer stands as one of the stronger mid-budget performers of the season. The film, mounted on a reported budget of Rs. 75 crore, is set to earn back its investment with the box office collection alone by the end of the second weekend. The reported worldwide collection for the film stands at approximately Rs. 60 crore.
