Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri’s romantic-action drama O’Romeo has registered a healthy surge at the box office on its second day, riding on Valentine’s weekend footfalls and positive audience momentum. From a trade perspective, the film’s early trend suggests growing traction across key urban and multiplex circuits.

What is the collection of O’Romeo?

The near 44 per cent growth on Day 2 indicates rising walk-in audiences, particularly among younger viewers and couples, driven by the Valentine’s weekend advantage. Evening and night shows reportedly performed better than expected, especially in metro cities.

What worked in O’Romeo’s favour

From a trade standpoint, several factors contributed to the upward trend. The biggest factor can be the Valentine’s weekend timing, which traditionally benefits romantic dramas. Shahid Kapoor also  enjoys a strong pull among youth and urban audiences. The film received a positive word-of-mouth as well, especially for the film’s music, chemistry, and emotional beats.

The film also witnessed healthy multiplex occupancy, with premium formats also seeing steady traction. The Saturday growth has helped the film recover ground after a moderate opening, placing it on a stable trajectory heading into Sunday.

O’Romeo weekend projections

Given the sharp Saturday rise, Sunday is expected to post further growth, potentially pushing the opening weekend total into the Rs. 32–35 crore range, depending on occupancy levels and regional performance.

If the film sustains momentum through Sunday, O’Romeo could enter its first weekday cycle with a comfortable buffer, strengthening its overall box office prospects.

At this stage, the film has cleared its initial hurdle convincingly, and the weekend trajectory suggests a positive theatrical run ahead, provided weekday holds remain stable. The weekday collection would be crucial to estimate whether O’Romeo can become a hit.
