Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney held a “positive” conversation with US President Donald Trump, reminding him that Ottawa paid for the new bridge between the two countries that the Potus is trying to block, adding that Washington shares its ownership.

Trump posted on his Truth Social that the Gordie Howe International Bridge between Windsor, Ontario, and Detroit, Michigan, had “virtually no US content”, claiming that Canada owns both ends of the bridge. The bridge is due to open in the first half of 2026.
