Spacey was calling for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, over a year after his name appeared alongside other major Hollywood stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz and Cate Blanchett
The “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory has resurfaced again on social media as the US Justice Department released millions of internal documents related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on January 30. The already-debunked claims have made their way to social media chatter as pizzas have reportedly been referenced several times in the Epstein files.
Several users are (again) claiming that the Pizzagate theory was real. The wildly false claims never actually went away, even though they have been fact-checked.
Amid this, Hollywood star
Kevin Spacey has said he’s open to do Jeffrey Epstein’s biopic. The actor was quoted saying last year on social media, “Release the Epstein files. All of them,” Spacey wrote on X. “For those of us with nothing to fear, the truth can’t come soon enough. I hate to make this about me — but the media already has.”
Spacey was calling for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, over a year after his name appeared alongside other major Hollywood stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz and Cate Blanchett in Epstein’s unsealed court documents.
The sexual assault lawsuit
Stage and screen star Anthony Rapp sued Spacey, accusing him of assault, battery and intentionally inflecting emotional distress when Rapp was 14. The trial opened with jury selection in Manhattan three years back.
What allegations against Kevin Spacey are involved in this lawsuit?
Rapp said he attended a party at Spacey’s Manhattan apartment in 1986, when he was 14 and acting in the Broadway play “Precious Sons.” At the end of the night, an inebriated Spacey allegedly picked Rapp up, placed him on his bed and climbed on top of him. Rapp said the then-26-year-old Spacey held him down tightly, but he was able to get away and left the apartment. “I was pinned underneath him. I didn’t know what to do,” he testified last week.
