Filmmaker Stanley Kubrick was not just a man miles ahead of his contemporaries and modern times, but almost like a Nostradamus. In 1999, he made a film called Eyes Wide Shut, starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. It’s a film that explores the dungeon of sex and power. About traps and escapes. And it almost acted like a catalyst for his sudden death just few days after the release.

The film, albeit indirectly and clandestinely, names a lot of powerful people indulging in perverse and promiscuity. It may not have pleased many. This is what the conspiracy theory says which remains a mystery. “There’s so many conspiracy theories out there now, it’s hard to know what’s to be believed and what isn’t,” Eyes Wide Shut director of photography Larry Smith, as per a report in The Hollywood Reporter.

On March 7, 1999, six days after screening a final cut of
_Eyes Wide Shut_ for his family and the film’s stars, Kubrick unexpectedly died of a heart attack in his sleep at the age of 70. His funeral was held five days later at Childwickbury Manor, with only close friends and family in attendance, totaling about 100 people. The media were kept a mile away outside the entrance gate.

For a moment, Jeffrey Epstein rose like a phoenix from his ashes in his unmarked tomb at the IJ Morris Star of David mausoleum in Palm Beach, Florida, last year. Donald Trump was unnerved. Democrats and critics got fresh ammo. Tabloids had more juice.

However, before the embers could turn into flames big enough to gut the president, Pam Bondi, with her unflinching loyalty and fealty to Trump, smothered them on January 30—at least, till 2028.

The Epstein Files Transparency (November 18, 2025) required the US attorney general (AG) to make public “in a searchable and downloadable format all unclassified records, documents, communications and investigative materials in the possession of the Department of Justice (DoJ), including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and United States Attorneys’ Offices, that relate to Jeffrey Epstein, including all investigations, prosecutions, or custodial matters” within 30 days.
