Citroen has hiked prices of the Basalt, Aircross and C3 models in India. The Basalt prices have increased by up to Rs 20,000, the Aircross prices have surged by up to Rs 45,000, and the C3’s prices have been hiked by Rs 40,000. Except for the prices, no other changes have been made to the Citroen offerings.
- Basalt and Aircross are available in You, Plus and Max trims.
- C3 is offered with Live, Live (O), Feel, Feel (O), and Shine trims.
- All three cars get 1.2-litre petrol and 1.2-litre turbo-petrol choices.
Citroen Basalt: Old vs new prices
Basalt prices now range between Rs 8.15 lakh and Rs 13.35 lakh
*The Max trim is available with dual-tone colour options at an incremental cost of Rs 21,000
Prices of the Citroen Basalt have been increased by Rs 20,000 across all variants. The Basalt is offered with an 82hp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine and a 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. Both engines are available with a manual transmission, but the turbocharged unit also gets a 6-speed torque converter option.
Citroen Aircross: Old vs new prices
Aircross prices now range between Rs 8.29 lakh and Rs 13.94 lakh
*The 7-seater Max trim is available with a dual-tone shade at an incremental price of Rs 20,000
The Citroen Aircross prices have been hiked by up to Rs 45,000, which is for the top-spec Max 7-seater Turbo AT variant. Prices of the manual version of this variant have increased by Rs 35,000. The lower-spec You and Plus trims have seen a price hike of Rs 20,000, like the Basalt SUV-coupe. The 5-seater version of the Max Turbo trim was recently introduced, and hence its prices are unchanged. The Aircross shares its engine options with the Basalt.
Citroen C3: Old vs new prices
C3 prices now range from Rs 4.95 lakh to Rs 9.45 lakh
Like the Citroen Aircross, there is a difference in the price hike amount between the lower and the top-spec trims. Prices of the lower-spec Live, Feel and Feel (O) trims have increased by Rs 15,000, while the higher-spec Turbo trim prices have been hiked by Rs 40,000. Notably, the Feel (O) is the most recent trim to be introduced in the C3’s lineup, and prices of its manual variant are unchanged. The C3 gets the same engine options as the Basalt and Aircross.
The Citroen Basalt rivals the Tata Curvv SUV-coupe and is an alternative to mid-size SUVs like the Citroen Aircross, Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate and the upcoming Renault Duster. The Citroen C3 locks horns with the Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kwid, and Tata Punch.
