Two-year-old Britisher Jude Owens has registered himself in the Guinness World Record books twice with his incredible snooker talent.
Two world records in snooker now belong to a two-year-old Britisher Jude Owens who has achieved these feats by performing a couple of trick shots on snooker table. The toddler from Manchester in Britain is now the youngest person to perform a bank shot and a double pot in snooker.
The child completed a double pot when he was two years and 261 days old in September last year and then in October last year, he successfully performed a pool bank shot at two years and 302 days old.
He is now not just the youngest to get these snooker shots against his name but also among the youngest holders of two Guinness World Records.
Snooker sensation’s father in awe
Jude’s father, Luke Owens saw the natural ability of his son with the cue and he knew that something was special in his kid.
“I think I realised once he put the cue through his fingers and it was dead natural the way he did it,” Luke was quoted to be saying by the Guardian.
“I think for me, Jude’s achieved quite a lot in such a short space of time. But for him to achieve not just one, but two world records, it’s probably the pinnacle moment. How do you even beat that in life?
“I started playing when I was 10 and obviously Jude started playing when he was two. But I’d say Jude’s got a lot more natural ability than myself.”
The Owen family uses stool to help their child get to the table and his father says there is a long way to go.
The editor-in-chief of Guinness World Records, Craig Glenday, told the Guardian: “Record-breaking has always belonged to everyone – regardless of age. To see someone as young as Jude display such skill, enthusiasm and determination is incredibly special. We’re thrilled to welcome him into the Guinness World Records family.”
