Shoot of reality show ‘The 50’ has begun in Dubai. The show will air on Colors TV and stream on JioHotstar. As per reports, Himesh Reshammiya will be the special guest on day one. And contrary to the reports doing the rounds, Farah Khan will not be hosting The 50.
The list of confirmed contestants is- Karan Patel, Divya Agarwal, Urvashi Dholakia, Dushyant Kukreja, Monalisa, Vikrant Singh Rajpoot, Shiny Doshi, Neelam Giri, Nehal Chudasama, Rajat Dalal, Digvijay Rathee, Lovekesh Kataria, Natalia Janoszek, Khanzaadi, Prince Narula, Yuvika Chaudhary, Krishna Shroff, Nikki Tamboli, Arbaz Patel, Maxtern, Archana Gautam, Shrutika Arjun, Sumaira Shaikh, Dimpal Singh, Vanshaj Singh, Chahat Pandey, Shiv Thakare, Archit Kaushik, Lakshay Kaushik, Adnaan Shaikh, Mr. Faisu, and Yung Sammy.
Right on the first day of the shoot, actress Nikki Tamboli was made one of the captains along with Prince Narula, Raja Dalal, Mr. Faisu, Karan Patel, Urvashi Dholakia, Monalisa, Shrutika Arjun, and Krishna Shroff.
What to expect from the show
Alok Jain, from JioHotstar, told India Today, “The construct on The 50 is that we will put 50 celebrity contestants in a setting and they will have to perform some highly entertaining tasks. There would also be eliminations, and over a period of time, approximately 50 episodes, we will have a winner.”
“So, they would be playing for the fans. The audience can keep choosing who they want to follow and bet on a winner. If they do it correctly, they will earn money. The prize money of this show will be distributed among the fans who have followed and supported them. So, this is the basic construct of the show,” he added.
