On the sidelines of the Skoda Kushaq facelift reveal, the Czech brand also revealed a new lower-spec variant for its Kylaq compact SUV called Classic+. Further, Skoda India confirmed that a new Kylaq Sportline variant will also launch by September this year, that the mid-spec Signature and Signature+ variants will have more features, and that there will be a new top-spec Prestige+ variant coming.

Skoda Kylaq Classic+ features
To get manual and automatic gearbox options, unlike the base Kylaq Classic variant.
The new Kylaq Classic+ will get features like 16-inch alloy wheels over the base Classic variant, along with an electric sunroof, auto-diming inside rear view mirror, automatic wipers, cruise control, and steering-mounted controls on the inside. Prices will start higher than the Rs 7.59 lakh for the Kylaq Classic MT. Interestingly, the unlike the entry-level variant, the Classic+ will be offered with automatic and manual gearbox options. The launch of the new lower-spec Kylaq Classic+ is expected by March this year.
Skoda Kylaq Signature, Signature+ new features
Sunroof, rear and auto wipers, and paddle shifters will be added.
The mid-spec Kylaq Signature and Signature+ variants will get a few features from the top-spec Prestige trims. These include a sunroof, a rear wiper, auto wipers, and paddle shifters for the automatic versions. Prices for these mid-spec variants are expected to increase over the current Rs 9.09 lakh-11.44 lakh. Skoda has not yet mentioned when the update for the Kylaq Signature and Signature+ variants will take place.
Skoda Kylaq Sportline and Prestige+ variants explained
Sportline will be a sportier-looking trim, while Prestige+ will have more features than the Prestige.
Not much is known yet about the new range-topping Kylaq variants. However, the Sportline will be a sportier-looking variant and is likely to have cosmetic changes outside and inside the cabin to reflect this. No mechanical changes are expected.
The new Kylaq Prestige+ will likely add more comfort features over the current range-topping Prestige trim, though which features are unknown. Prices will also increase over the Kylaq Prestige, which is currently priced between Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 12.99 lakh, depending on the gearbox option selected. Like the Classic+, the Kylaq Prestige+ is also expected to launch by March this year.
