Salman Khan’s last film, Sikandar, failed to impress the audience and the box office and was termed as the actor’s ‘weakest film’ by many experts. However, the megastar said he has no regrets about doing Sikandar as he liked the plot of the movie. But the leading lady Rashmika Mandanna has something else to share about the script.

During a conversation with Telugu journalist Prema, Rashmika revealed the script was changed. “Sikandar, I remember talking to Murugadoss sir, of course later what happened was very different… But when I heard the script, it was indeed quite a different script,” said Mandanna.

The actor continued, “Generally that happens with films. When you listen to something it is one story that you have listened to… but over the making of the film, things change according to the performances, according to the edits, according to the time of the release. Things change and that is very common. So that happened with Sikandar.”

During Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode,
Salman Khan poked fun at director AR Murugadoss’ comment, who accused Salman Khan of arriving late on the set.

At the show, comedian Ravi Gupta asked Salman Khan to name films he regret doing to which he replied Nishchay and Suryanshi.

The actor later said, “Nayi mein se koi nahi hai… log kehte hain Sikandar par main nahi manta, uska plot bahut acha tha (I don’t regret doing any film in the recent times. People do say it can be Sikandar, but I don’t believe that. The plot of the film was good).”

Amid the film’s commercial failure, the director of the film AR Murugadoss spoke about its failure in an interview with Valaipechu Voice and said, “It’s not easy to shoot with a star. Even day scenes, we have to shoot at night because he turns up to sets only by 8 PM. We are people who are used to shooting right from early mornings, but that’s not how things work there.”
