It has been over 24 hours and the number of views so far on the trailer has been 22 million. This happens to be more than what Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar managed that stood at 17 million views a day after its release online.

Border has long been a favourite among the masses. When it was released in 1997, the times were rife with nationalistic sentiment. India had seen major wars with its neighbouring nation, Pakistan, and the film managed to strike the right chord. Such was its impact that it became a blockbuster, a go-to film to rouse patriotic feelings across the country and one whose sequel audiences have been waiting for ever since. Those wishes were finally fulfilled when 
_Border 2_ was announced.

_Border_ came out in 1997. The sequel comes out in 2026 January. The excitement is at its peak, especially after what Gadar 2 did at the box-office.

The vein is the same as it was in 1997. The backdrop is the 1971 war and the war drama encapsulates navy, air force and the Indian army. And Deol is just as fierce as he was three decades ago.

In a candid behind-the-scenes video that’s now grabbing attention online, what started as a 20 push-ups challenge with the cadets, Varun—cheerfully took on a round of 50 knuckle push-ups alongside nearly 30-40 cadets, matching their discipline and enthusiasm with playful competitiveness. What began as a fun break turned into a full-fledged show of physical grit, drawing loud cheers from the film crew and fellow cadets.
