International maritime cooperation and ongoing procedures

The Rona’s distress triggered coordinated efforts by Turkmen coastal services, which mobilised rescue vessels and personnel to the scene after receiving the emergency signal. This prompt action ensured the safety of all crew members, averting potential loss of life in the often challenging conditions of the Caspian Sea.

While specific details about the cause of the incident have not been released, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry emphasised that the rescue operation was carried out in strict accordance with global maritime safety regulations, reflecting cooperation aimed at safeguarding lives at sea.
