Mahindra has announced that the XEV 9S and XUV 7XO together received 93,689 consolidated bookings within four hours, on January 14, 2026. The carmaker said the figure was recorded as of 2.00pm, and translates into a booking value of over Rs 20,500 crore (ex-showroom).
Mahindra XUV 7XO: price, booking and delivery timeline
The new Mahindra XUV 7XO launched at a starting price of Rs 13.66 lakh and goes up to Rs 24.92 lakh. Pre-bookings for the SUV had been closed ahead of launch, and fresh bookings have opened on January 14, 2026. Mahindra has also confirmed that deliveries for select variants have begun the same day, while remaining variants will follow through in April 2026.
The XUV 7XO’s key rivals include the Tata Safari, MG Hector and Hyundai Alcazar.
Mahindra XEV 9S: price, booking and delivery timeline
Mahindra launched the XEV 9S 3-row electric SUV with prices starting at Rs 19.95 lakh for the entry-level Pack One Above variant and going up to Rs 29.45 lakh for the Pack Three Above variant. The XEV 9S is based on Mahindra’s INGLO platform. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on January 23, 2026.
The XEV 9S gets 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh battery options, with a claimed ARAI range of up to 679km. It is positioned as a mass-market 7-seat electric SUV, and currently has no direct rival in the 3-row electric SUV space.
