There was something called Labubu that became an international and overnight trend in 2025. It’s a line of collectible plush toys created by Hong Kong illustrator Kasing Lung. The series features zoomorphic elves with exaggerated facial expressions, of which the central figure is Labubu, a monster with sharp teeth, large ears and a scruffy appearance.

Right from BTS’s V to Lady Gaga to Dua Lipa to Lisa, everyone jumped into the trend as they carried the dolls and toys on their plush designer bags. Many of these stars were spotted in 2024 and 2025 with different versions of the toys.
