Tata Harrier and Safari petrol engine specifications

Gets the turbo-petrol that debuted on the Sierra, but with more power

Powering the Harrier and Safari petrol is Tata’s in-house developed 1.5-litre Hyperion engine. This 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine first debuted on the Sierra SUV. For the Harrier and Safari, the engine has been retuned to produce more power and torque figures at 170hp (10hp more than the Sierra) and 280Nm (25Nm more than the Sierra), respectively, since these SUVs are larger and heavier. Interestingly, the Harrier and Safari petrol match the diesel engines’ power output at 170hp.
