The Chainsaw Man anime is expanding with an official adaptation of the Assassins Arc announced at Jump Festa 2026, following the success of the Reze Arc film and promising the next stage in Denji’s story.
Chainsaw Man fans, get ready for the ultimate adventure! After the successful first episode, and the
Reze Arc movie, fans will now get to watch the anime adaptation of the manga’s Assassins Arc. Considered one of the best arcs with wild pacing and genre blending, this anime adaptation is just too promising to not wait for!
The announcement was made today at the Jump Festa 2026 in Chiba, Japan. The new project, tentatively titled Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc, was revealed with a striking teaser visual and promotional video that spotlight the ominous threat facing protagonist Denji as elite assassins hunt for the Chainsaw Devil’s power. The brief PV suggests a darker, high-stakes storyline, setting the stage for one of the manga’s most intense arcs yet.
Produced by acclaimed animation studio MAPPA, the adaptation will follow the Reze Arc movie, an earlier continuation of the anime that expanded on the story after the series’ first season. While a release window has not yet been disclosed, expectations are high that the Assassins Arc anime will begin production with an eye toward a 2027 broadcast.

The Assassins Arc, also known as the International Assassins Arc in the manga, sees government operatives and deadly killers converge on Japan with orders to capture or eliminate Denji and seize his powers. It’s one of Chainsaw Man’s most action-packed and narratively pivotal arcs, expanding the series’ scope from domestic devil-hunting to a global threat level.
Fans have awaited news on the next phase of the anime for months, especially since
Reze Arc hit theatres worldwide in 2025 to both critical acclaim and strong box-office results. The success of that film further solidified Chainsaw Man’s place as a cornerstone of contemporary anime.
The announcement at Jump Festa also re-energised speculation about how MAPPA will structure future adaptations and whether the Assassins Arc will be a full season, a series of films, or another hybrid format. hatever form it takes, anticipation remains high as we prepare to follow Denji’s journey into ever more dangerous territory.
