A Pakistani military court has sentenced former ISI chief Faiz Hameed to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment.

A Pakistani military court has sentenced former ISI chief Faiz Hameed to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Thursday.

Faiz’s sentencing is a result of court martial proceedings that were initiated against him on August 12, 2024 on charges of engaging in political activities and violating the Official Secrets Act.

Faiz is the first chief of the all-power Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to be court-martialled.
