VinFast sells a range of electric scooter models in Vietnam and plans to bring some of them to the Indian market.
- VinFast electric scooters are expected to be launched towards the end of 2026
- The company currently offers the VF 7 and VF 6 electric cars in India
VinFast is currently conducting research on which electric scooters to launch, and if they come to India, we can expect them to be launched towards the end of 2026. After the brand decides which models to bring to our market, they will have to be tested in Indian conditions, and that should take some time to finalise.
The brands gave us a glimpse at six of their models on offer in Vietnam. They include the Feliz, Klara Neo, Theon S, Vero X, Vento S, and the Evo Grand. Currently, the specifications of these scooters are available on the VinFast Vietnam website, but there is no word on which of these scooters will make their way to our market. Considering that the brand has entered India with cars like the VF 7 and VF 6, some of these electric scooters should also be launched at some point in the future.
VinFast had announced its plans to invest $2 billion (approximately Rs 16,000 crore) in India. Out of this investment budget, $500 million has been invested to set up a production plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, which currently has an annual capacity of 50,000 electric cars, and is expandable to 150,000 cars.
