Bentley has taken the wraps off the new Continental GT Supersports, the most driver-focused version of the grand tourer yet and the fourth model to wear the Supersports badge in 100 years.

The new edition brings major changes: rear-wheel drive for the first time on a road-going Continental GT, a big drop in weight, and a new 657hp V8 engine. Only 500 units will be built, with orders opening in March 2026.

Bentley Continental GT Supersports exterior

New aero package adds huge downforce and sharpens the GT’s stance

The Supersports gets the most aggressive aero package ever fitted to a road-going Bentley. Up front, there’s a larger splitter, a wider bumper and carbon fibre dive planes to improve stability. New side sills, reshaped fender blades and a rear diffuser work with a fixed rear wing to add more than 300kg of extra downforce compared to the Continental GT Speed.

A carbon-fibre roof panel cuts weight further and lowers the centre of gravity. Lightweight 22-inch forged wheels, developed with Manthey Racing, are standard, with Pirelli Trofeo RS tyres available as an option.

With Trofeo RS tyres fitted, the chassis changes and weight savings, the Supersports can corner approximately 30 percent quicker than a Continental GT Speed, with up to 1.3g peak lateral force.

Two-seat cabin introduces new sports seats, set lower in the car

The cabin switches to a two-seat layout, with the rear bench replaced by a carbon-fibre tub wrapped in leather. New sports seats sit lower for better support, and the cabin uses a mix of leather, Dinamica and carbon trim.

A numbered badge marks each of the 500 units, while the usual touchscreen and digital instruments remain. Sound insulation has been reduced, and the audio system is tuned for the front cabin only to save weight.

Rear-wheel drive V8 setup focuses on response and driver involvement

Bentley has removed the hybrid system and replaced the all-wheel drive hardware for a rear-wheel drive setup, making the Supersports the first RWD Continental GT, and keeping the weight below 2,000kg.

Power comes from a new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 657 hp and 800Nm. It’s paired with an updated 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, carbon-ceramic brakes and a full-length Akrapovic titanium exhaust.

Bentley claims a 0-100kph time of 3.7sec and a top speed of around 310kph, with a focus on sharper response rather than outright straight-line speed.

Bentley Continental GT Supersports price and launch

Limited run of 500 cars, with deliveries beginning early 2027

Prices haven’t been confirmed yet, but Bentley says it will sit well above the current GT Speed, which starts at around USD 285,000. Only 500 cars will be offered worldwide.

The new Supersports will be available in the following countries and areas: UK, Europe (EU27 plus Switzerland and Turkey), USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Oman, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar and Kuwait.
